Sibia Africa is proud to announce a new partnership with the University of Amsterdam and Utrecht University, marking a significant milestone in our journey to support global efforts toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This collaboration, led by Prof. Maggi W.H. Leung, Professor of International Development Studies at the University of Amsterdam, and Prof. Ajay Bailey, Professor at Utrecht University, will focus on mapping the evidence of impact evaluations related to the SDGs. This project is a testament to our continued commitment to driving sustainable development initiatives across Africa and contributing to global research.

The project, which seeks to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of various SDG-related initiatives, will provide invaluable insights into how these goals are being achieved and their impact on communities. By joining this initiative, Sibia Africa will play a key role in assessing how well-targeted efforts toward sustainable development are performing. This aligns closely with our broader mission of promoting sustainable solutions and fostering development that benefits both people and the planet.

One of the most exciting aspects of this cooperation is that no co-funding is required from Sibia Africa, allowing us to contribute our expertise and resources while maintaining our focus on other ongoing projects. As a key partner, we will collaborate with international experts to enhance our capacity for data collection and analysis, which is crucial to understanding the success of SDG initiatives in Africa.

This partnership also underscores the importance of cross-border collaboration and knowledge sharing in addressing global challenges. Working alongside leading academic institutions such as the University of Amsterdam and Utrecht University strengthens Sibia Africa’s position as a thought leader in sustainable development. We are excited to learn from and contribute to this high-impact research project and look forward to sharing the findings with a global audience.

As we embark on this journey, we are committed to supporting the project’s objectives and ensuring that the evidence gathered is utilized effectively to shape policies and interventions that foster sustainable development.
